[Translated excerpt from the introduction] The small collection of stomatopods from the Australian Museum, Sydney, which I have been given to study, comprise 13 specimens among which are the following species: 1—AMS P.5614 a male of 86 mm. Squilla depressa Miers. 2—AMS P.6785 a female of 49 mm., 5. Squilla depressa Miers. 3—AMS P.10934 a female of 77 mm. Squilla depres.sa Miers. 4—AMS P.4843 a female of 64 mm. Lysiosquilla multifasciata Wood-Mason. 5—AMS P.6788 a female of 85 mm. Lysiosquilla acanthocarpus Miers. 6—AMS P.10372 a male of 20 mm. Gonodactylus spinosocarinatus Fukuda. 7—AMS P.10372 a female of 18 mm. Gonodactylus spinosocarinatus Fukuda. 8—AMS P.10805 a male of 22 mm., 50. Gonodactylus tweediei, sp.nov. 9—AMS P.10340 a male of 24 mm. Gonodactylus tweediei, sp.nov. 10—AMS P.10070 a female of 22 mm, 5. Gonodactylus tweediei sp.nov. 11—AMS P.5273 a female of 24 mm, 5. Gonodactylus tweediei sp.nov. 12—AMS P.5273 a female of 26 mm, 5. Gonodactylus tweediei sp.nov. 13—AMS P.5273 a female of 21 mm. Gonodactylus tweediei sp.nov.
